Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is one of the most common types of massage and is usually what people are referring to when they are thinking about getting massage. Oil is usually used during this massage as well as long, gentle strokes and kneading or vibration. This type of massage encourages relaxation and circulation, eases muscle tightness, and improves flexibility.
Great for people new to the massage world or those looking simply for all-over relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The purpose of this type of massage is to ease chronic muscle tension and pain where muscle adhesions or knots, "stringy" muscle fiber, or rigid tissue lie. Some strokes used include those used in Swedish Massage but the movement may be slower and a bit deeper. Tools such as the elbow, fist and forearm are also used.
This massage is perfect for people with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, limited mobility and those recovering from injuries.

Foot Reflexology
Foot Reflexology is the study and practice of working reflexes in the feet that correspond to all other parts of the body. In foot reflexology we work pressure points in the feet that help reduce tension in the body. By working a distal point on the nervous system in the foot we are communicating with other systems of the body. For example, the tops of the toes correspond with the eyes, sinuses, ears and so on. This type of massage includes stretching and what we call a thumb walk over all parts of the foot. No oil or lotion is used during this massage but may be used afterwards to close the session with a nice swedish foot massage ending.
This type of massage is a perfect addition to a Swedish or Deep Tissue session or all by itself. It can also be a great lunch time massage as it is not messy and is very relaxing. Great for all massage lovers.

Bars - Access Consciousness
